- 1/3/2022 – Assessor inspected damage.
- 7/3/2022 – Unit 17 Qld Data & Electrical Quote for $ 315.00 provided to Assessor to make safe –
replace ceiling fan/light that shorted electricity. Approved by assessor email 7/3/2022 - 10/3/2022 – Unit 8 Chris Curtis Painting Quote for $1,350.00 (no GST) to seal and paint 3 bathroom & ensuite ceilings sent to assessor. Email from assessor 23/3/2022 to say he has reviewed the quote and has forwarded it to the insurer to make a final decision.
- 3o/3/2022 – Email from Assessor requesting bank details and saying we will have a roof report (bank details provided)
- 31/3/2022 – Email from Broker saying there will be a roof report and they are recommending acceptance of 2 quotes above (Note: this is not confirmed until we get the insurance report)
- 31/3/2022 – Contact from Queensland All-Trades (appointed by Insurance company) QAT will come and do the roofing report and check damage on 14 units.
- 31/3/2022 – QAT Phoned to say that roofing report and assessment will be done on Thursday 7th April 7am – 4pm. see message below
As discussed, we have booked the property inspection with our estimators on 07/04/2022. They will be attending along with our Roofing Contractors Natco. The teams will be arriving within a one hour window commencing at 07:00 AM AEST (QLD time zone) and will require access to each unit throughout the day until approximately 4:00 PM.
While onsite, we will assess the damage at the properties in Aspley QLD and provide a quote and/or report to Longitude Insurance for their review. This is a great time to raise any questions or concerns you may have in relation to your claim or damages to your home.
- 4/4/2022 – Discussions with QAT and Assessor on the claim information. List sent to owners requesting confirmation to ensure sufficient information provided to QAT on Thursday
- 7/4/2022 – Inspection for roofing report and quotes for insurance claim
- 28/4/2022 – Email to assessor chasing up report.
- 14/5/2022 – Report of water coming into Unit 4 again. Email to assessor (cc: broker) chasing up report – received copy of his email same day asking building when we can expect to receive the roof reports.
- 16/5/2022 – Email from broker to say that the Insurance Company has emailed the report to the assessor.
- 19/5/2022 – Roof reports received from assessor. Reports have not been assessed by assessor. Assessor is chasing up builder quotes.
- 20/5/2022 – Email send to affected owners with copy of their roof report so they can proceed with maintenance.
- 20/5/2022 – Email sent to all owners so others can also review their roof maintenance requirements.
- 8/6/2022 – Email from broker to say that the assessor recommendations have been sent to the insurance company for approval. It is likely that the insurance company will require proof that owners have attended to the maintenance in the roof report (paid invoices) before the insured work is done.
- 27/6/2022 – Email to owners saying that they need to supply the invoices showing roof repairs have been done.
- 6/8/2022 – Email from broker with official Insurance decision. LNG40004165 – Decline
- 16/8/2022 – QAT confirmed that they had sent the quote to the insurance company.
- 16/9/2022 – Email from broker – chasing up insurance decision
- 19/9/2022 – Obtained a copy of QAT quote from assessor with no comment about confirmation of insurance decision. Forwarded to broker asking if they could find out.
- 23/9/2022 – Broker says insurance company offering a cash settlement for total of QAT quote and asking us to advise on decision
- 27/9/2022 – Email to all owners calling an EGM to decide on the matter.
